Embodied HCI

Embodied Human-Computer Interaction systems are multimodal agents that communicate through and understand language, gesture, action, facial expressions, gaze tracking, and more. They have situational and perceptual awareness of their surroundings and their human partner, with which they share perceptual and epistemic common ground. There is a strong link between perceptual grounding and knowledge transfer, either between partners, or from task to task. This page showcases some embodied HCI systems used in collaborative tasks, childhood assessment, and robotics.
